The Snowdon Road house was designed to sit comfortably on its large east west orientated Fendalton site. The southern public street elevation has smaller opening for privacy while the northern private elevation opens out onto a large lawn with lush garden softening the boundary edge.
The clients wanted a well-mannered house that while being substantial in size would fit well within the neighbouring character houses. Traditional detailing and materials such as exposed rafters, slate roof and copper spouting provide both traditional character and reference back to the original earthquake damaged house.
Testimonial
"Image handled all stages of this large and detailed project with skill, care and professionalism. This successful project involved a strong and co-operative team of client, architect and contractor and the clients are extremely happy with the end result and enjoyed their interaction with the builders on site. As the project architect our vision for the project was fully brought to reality by Image."
