Project overview

We were approached by The Buchan Group to negotiate their forthcoming new office in Kilmore Street. The Buchan Group had the role of being both client and lead design consultant. We worked alongside our clients at early stages to ensure the budget could be met as well as managing the procurement of all long lead items to ensure they could make the tight pre Xmas timeline. The project consisted of typical interiors components - e.g. working inside an occupied building and having other surrounding parties to consider which affects hours of work, noise restrictions, access to and from the site area. We managed these aspects well with minimal disruption and maintained our tight programme for delivery for our deadline.

Design

"The Buchan Group's Christchurch office required an environment that supported the culture of our firm. We took into account the changing workplace and the impact this will have on our space, our industry and our growth prospects. Needing a space which was inviting and works efficiency, we created a design that encouraged teamwork creating areas for multiple uses that staff and visitors could use as an alternative workspace, a space for collaboration and an area for socialising. Natural materials of concrete and steel provide a contrasting feature to the white walls. Black glazed sliding doors frame private meeting areas with the ability to have wide openings creating larger spaces. The design proudly reflects our company, our brand and our values."
